CALL WAITING
Easy Steps:
While engaged on the line, you will be alerted to an incoming call by a series of "beep tones".
Answer option 1:
To accept the incoming call (Party 2) and put the current call (party 1) "on hold".
- Quickly press then release the "plunger"
- Listen for dialtone
- Press 2
You can switch from party 2 to party 1 (and back) by repeating instructions 1 up to 3 each time.
Answer option 2:
To accept an incoming call (Party 2) and simultaneously release the current call (Party 1)
- Quickly press then release the "plunger"
- Listen for dialtone
- Press 1
You are then connected to (Party 2) and connection to Party 1 is terminated.
Answer option 3:
To CANCEL the incoming call (Party 2):
- Quickly press then release the "plunger"
- Listen for dialtone
- Press 0
The caller (Party 2) will now hear a busy tone in place of the ringing tone as connection to Party 1 is sustained.

*Recommended when using your line to send and receive fax messages, while "on-line" using the internet or simply when you prefer not to be interrupted while engaged on the line.
