1.0 PLDT GUARDIAN Service Overview

1.1 PLDT GUARDIAN Description

PLDT Guardian is an innovative Machine to Machine (M2M) managed property intrusion detection and notification security solution, that provides business owners the ability to effectively secure & protect their assets from unauthorized access, internal pilferages & risks

The service is deployed using world-class intrusion detection technologies and is powered by PLDT and SMART’s unparalleled wired and wireless GPRS network,

Unlike conventional and off-the-shelf security devices and systems, PLDT Guardian’s wireless detectors and sensors when triggered, will automatically send a notification alert via GPRS to a 24 x 7 Central Monitoring Station, manned by professionals, which immediately notifies key personnel and/or proper authorities of detected emergencies

Customers are assured of a reliable, always-on, cost-effective yet easy to operate security system for their branches and offices nationwide

1.2 Features & Benefits

PLDT Guardian boasts of the following features :

  • World class intrusion detection technologies – PLDT Guardian is using the RISCO Group’s WISDOM Wireless Security System, considered one of the most dependable wireless security system in the global market today.
  • The wireless sensors can be easily installed in strategic areas (doors, windows, vaults, and other areas that can be installed with magnetic sensors) without the hassle of installing connecting wires.

    With RISCO Group’s over 20 years of experience in the security market, customers are assured of service quality and reliability.

  • Redundant connectivity channels (GPRS & phone lines) – PLDT Guardian utilizes two (2) channels of connectivity to ensure that the property is never disconnected from the Central Monitoring Station. GPRS is the primary link while phone lines act as a back-up.
  • Business owners need not worry if the phone line is cut or disabled by a burglar for they are still connected via GPRS.

  • 24 x 7 Central Monitoring Station – A major component of the service is its 24 x 7 Central Monitoring Station (CMS). Wireless detectors and sensors when triggered, will automatically send a notification alert via GPRS to the CMS which escalates the incident to the property owner, the building administrator or to other private or public agencies for appropriate actions.
  • At the onset, business owners can define their unique preferred escalation procedures or SOPs to the 24 x 7 PLDT Guardian Central Monitoring Station (CMS). Customers are assured to an extent that proper actions are taken in the event of an emergency.

  • Scalable & cost-effective solution - PLDT Guardian is suitably package into three (3) variants to accommodate security requirements of small offices, branches, chain stores and medium to large scale building structures which includes bank’s main branches, multi-storey buildings, warehouses and factories.

2.0 PLDT GUARDIAN Service Components & Set-up

2.1 PLDT GUARDIAN Network Components

PLDT Guardian consists of three (3) major components:

  • Wireless sensors & alarms installed in the customer premises,
  • The 24 x 7 Central Monitoring Station (CMS) and
  • The connectivity between the wireless sensors and the CMS comprised of SMART’s GPRS network as the primary link and the PSTN (phone lines) as the back-up link.

2.2 How PLDT GUARDIAN Works

The PLDT Guardian Service Packages are equipped with a GPRS module that automatically sends an alert file via GPRS to the 24 x 7 Central Monitoring Station (CMS) in the event of an intrusion or alarm is detected by the wireless sensors.

The attending call center personnel of the CMS will then escalate the event to persons (store owner/manager, building security manager) or agencies (PNP, Fire station) based on the property owner’s pre-defined preference

In the unlikely event that the GPRS is unavailable, the GPRS module will send the alarm to the CMS via the telephone line.

2.3 PLDT GUARDIAN Wireless Detectors

The features/capabilities of each device are as follows:

Alarm Control Panel with PSTN Interface

The main control panel enables or disables the PLDT Guardian security system. All sensors and devices communicate wirelessly with the main control panel, which in turn connects to the Central Monitoring Station via the GPRS Module as primary communication or the PSTN interface as a backup or when the GPRS Module is not subscribed The Alarm Control Panel must be plugged in to an electrical outlet. It is likewise equipped with a back-up battery to ensure continuous operation even if power is cut-off for approximately six (6) hours.

GPRS Module

GPRS Module & SMART SIM provides primary reporting via GPRS and/or back-up reporting via phone line to the Central Monitoring Station The GPRS Module must be plugged in to an electrical outlet. It is likewise equipped with a back-up battery to ensure continuous operation even if power is cut-off for approximately six (6) hours.

Wireless Outdoor Siren

The External Sounder is a fully standalone unit requiring no AC power. The external sounder includes a pre-alarm feature that begins at entry delay countdown and sends an alarm if the WisDom vandalized during entry delay. Battery life economy is ensured through an advanced algorithm, and a low battery signal is included for both transceiver and sounder.

Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Passive Infra-Red Motion Sensor

The PIR Wireless Detector is a wall mount passive infrared wireless detector, available with two interchangeable lenses – a wide-angle 15m (50ft) lens, or a long-range 25m (75ft) lens.

Wireless Pet Immune Passive Infra-Red Motion Sensor

The PIR PET Wireless Detector is a wall mount passive infrared detector with pet immunity of up to a 36kg (80lb) dog or 5 cats.

Magnetic Contact Sensor (for doors and windows)

The Magnetic Contact Sensor is placed on key contact and entry points. This device will trigger an alert if that contact point is broken. Magnetic sensors have several varieties for different type of applications and structures: surface mount, flush mount and heavy duty. For special build applications other specialist magnetic switches are available on request.

Wireless Smoke Sensor

The Wireless Smoke Detector is a photoelectric smoke detector for adding fire warning capability to intruder alarm systems. The smoke detector is designed for use in a single residential unit only. When sufficient smoke is detected, the detector will sound its alarm horn and the transmitter will send an alarm message.

Wireless Flood Sensors

The Wireless Flood Detector provides an alarm in case of flooding above the sensor level.

Wireless Shock Sensor

The Wireless Shock Detector is based on the shock detection technology of the ShockTec wired shock detector. The Wireless Shock Detector comes in the same housing as the Universal Transmitter.

Wireless Heat Sensor

The heat sensor is used in environments that potentially have some fire risks such as kitchens and industrial environments but cannot use smoke sensors due to the constant presence of smoke. An alarm is generated when the temperature hits the threshold set for the detector.

Wireless Glass Break Detector

The Glass Break detector is designed to listen for the frequency of breaking glass and generate and alarm when detected. The Glass Break detector is based on the brand”Shatter Box” and will be coupled to the universal transmitter.

Wireless Keyfobs (Panic Button)

The Keyfob is a miniature transmitter for use as a remote control with RISCO Group’s Hybrid or Wireless systems. Button functionality is programmable to arm, disarm, stay, panic and output operations.

Wireless Universal Transmitter

The Universal Transmitter is a supervised, general-purpose transmitter that can be connected to door and window magnetic contacts or to other sensors. A double-contact model includes two inputs with separate transmission channels within the same housing, for protecting 2 zones from one unit.

Wireless Repeater

The Wireless Repeater is fully compatible with all RISCO Group's Receivers and Accessories. By using Wireless Repeaters, the range can be extended up to 7 times.


3.0 PLDT GUARDIAN PACKAGES

PLDT Guardian comes in three (3) product variants to serve the security system requirements of small, medium and large establishments. For customers with specific requirements, PLDT expert can develop a suitable security solution custom-fit to the requirement.

  • Prices are Vat exclusive
  • Minimum contract Term is 24 months
  • Results of the actual site survey may affect the initially submitted pricing scheme
  • Subject to the PLDT Guardian Terms and Conditions
  • One Time Fees are for installations within Metro Manila only. There are additional charges for site deployments outside Metro Manila (see next page for details)
  • Additional one-time fee of P 1,500 (vat ex) will be included for packages which includes a bundled telephone line
  • If additional discount, on top of the Business Head’s maximum allowable discount, is required to win the business, the Relationship Manager must submit a Special Business Request to the Corporate Bid & Offer Management for evaluation and approval.
  • For CODE YELLOW deployment. Pricing scheme will be coordinated with CAPMAN and CBOM
