Domestic-800 Service is a direct toll call within the Philippines which is charged to the called party. It enables a PLDT toll-free subscriber to provide toll-free calling to their customers and callers and the charges are billed to the company/subscriber.

What is the dialing format in calling a D800 number?
1-800-1-888-XXXX or and 1-800-10-XXX-XXXX: Where “X” is freely assignable on a first-come first serve basis.

What if the 4-digit or 7-digit customer assigned number being requested is not available anymore?
The prospective client has to choose another 4-digit or 7-digit combination/s. This is the reason the prospective subscriber is requested to list down additional 3 or more (4-digit/7digit) toll free numbers in order of priority.

How does it work?
A caller simply dials the D800 toll free and the call is translated and automatically routed to the terminating telephone number of the Domestic Toll Free subscriber
Example:
Mr. Castro, a gas station dealer from Cebu, dials 1800-1888-1000. The switching systems translate the D-800 number and automatically route the call to 887-7501 which is the terminating telephone no of Pilipinas Shell, the D800 subscriber.

Can my caller dial the D800 access number in any landline?
Caller can dial PLDT D-800 access number in any PLDT, Piltel and PTCs landline and you have the option to request access to SMART and Talkn’Text mobile phones.

Is National Direct Distance (NDD) feature required in my landline to be able to call a domestic toll free number?
No, you don’t need to your NDD feature in your telephone to call a domestic toll free number.

Can Toll-Free subscriber identify his/her toll-free callers?
Yes, through the subscriber’s monthly statement of account. Included in the monthly statement of account is the calling number, date of call, duration and location in abbreviated format e.g. for Cebu, DVA for Davao.

Can I call a D800 number if I’m in Metro Manila area?
Yes. However, this is a customer’s option we give to the D800 subscribers. Unless specifically requested, local toll free calling is barred since a charge of P1.00 per minute is charged. You may use your PLDT/Piltel landline or SMART/TalkNText mobile phone (if D800 access is activated) when dialing the D800 number.

What are the requirements for application of toll-free service?
- Must have an existing telephone number or trunk line or fax number registered (owned) by the subscribing company where
- Must accomplish service application form and service agreement. It must be signed either by the company executive or authorized company representative.

What shall I do if the telephone is not registered under the applicant’s name?
In case the telephone number is not registered to the subscribing company/applicant, a letter of authorization must be submitted to stating that the subscriber-on-record is authorizing the use of the telephone and that the latter guarantees payment of all the toll-free calls charged to the telephone number.

How fast can you activate the D800 service?
D-800 Service can be activated 3-5 days from receipt of the service order form and service agreement.

How do we know if the service is activated?
A test call is normally conducted. Subsequently, verbal advice or a letter is sent by Sales to customer notifying the actual service activation date.
