Around 900 PLDT lines knock-out in Quezon City

May 31, 2006 -  Around 900 telephones went out-of-order early this morning after an underground telephone cable was accidentally cut along Makatarungan St. in  Quezon City, causing  major cable troubles (MCT).

These telephones - which numbers start with 259, 425, 426, 920 - 929 and 990 - are located in some portions of Sgt. Esguerra St., Samar Avenue and Sct. Borromeo.  Among the affected buildings and establishments were Heart of the City Condominium, Roseville Tower, DILG, LTFRB, Stradcom (LTO), GMA 7, President's Tower, El Hardin del Presidente and Chaneley Mansion.

PLDT said its repair crews are now working round-the-clock to repair the damaged cable  and  restore service  on  June 1, 2006.
