ePLDT Names New Vice President

Manila, Philippines, February 27, 2006 - ePLDT, Inc. (ePLDT) announced today the appointment of Vincent A. Parr as Vice President for Content Acquisition and Management, a newly-formed group of the company.

As Vice President, Parr will provide acquisition services for the PLDT group, including Smart and WolfPac, based upon both short term and long term content strategies. The formation of the centralized content department fast-tracks the convergence of all fixed line, web and mobile content services, to take full advantage of all available channels within the group. 

Prior to his appointment, Parr was formerly WolfPac Mobile’s Vice President for Content Acquisition.  He was primarily responsible for growing WolfPac’s 286 Mobile Portal and SMART’s Caller Ringtune Service with the acquisition of branded and licensed content from major content owners in 2004 and 2005.

Prior to joining WolfPac, Parr served as Sales & Marketing Director of Universal Music (Philippines) in 2003.  He also worked with Tower Records and was behind the launching of the brand in Hong Kong, Canada, and the Philippines. Parr has a degree in Medical Biochemistry from Bristol, England.
